Although we offer feedback, ultimately you are the one who decides; you can choose whatever style and attire you prefer for your photo session. Here are some possibilities:

  • Lingerie catalog style
  • Men’s magazine style

  • Fine art nude portraiture

Or feel free to create your own individual style! Do you or your significant other have a favorite sports team?  A team jersey, cap, or helmet can make for a fun photo.

How We Work

Boudoir photography is sensual, intimate, and erotic. We concentrate on making you feel beautiful, sexy, and striking. It doesn’t matter in the least if you are in less than perfect shape, or if you have a few wrinkles, gray hairs, or extra curves. We find and highlight your finest features to capture a beautiful shot that you will treasure.

Many of our clients ask questions like these:

  • What clothes should I wear?
  • What color best matches my personality?
  • Should I wear jewelry?

Our answer to these questions is usually the same:

It’s up to you!

However, remember that the purpose of a boudoir shoot is to make you look sexy. Baggy sweatpants and a huge, cable-knit sweater may be the clothes you feel most comfortable in, but such an outfit may not help you get the results you want.

That being said, you also do not want to choose clothes and accessories that make you feel stiff or uncomfortable, which can result in unnatural, awkward looking shots.

Select clothes and accessories that are uniquely “you,” and which make you feel gorgeous, sexy, sensual, flirty, happy, or confident. These types of choices tend to result in the most flattering and successful photos.

For example, a favorite necklace or bracelet can be a great addition to a photo shoot. It is all about capturing the essence of who you are.

Boudoir photographs make a perfect gift for your significant other. Let him or her see you at your most sensual.

Taking part in a boudoir photo shoot requires extra effort from both the client and the photographer. However, with a bit of planning and forethought, together we can create beautiful photos that you and your significant other can treasure forever.

The following tips can help you make your boudoir photography session a shining success.

Understand Boudoir Photography

Understanding the nuances of boudoir photography is essential. Without that, you and the photographer may wind up on different pages and working at odds against each other.

Simply put, boudoir photography is a type of sensual, artistic photography that usually involves semi- or fully nude models. However, it is not lewd or overly sexual, and it does not aim to portray the subject as a purely sexual object. During the photo shoot, it’s important to remember that, although the photos should have an overall tone of sensuality, the purpose is to capture the whole person and not just her body parts.

Maintain Communication

Proper communication between a model and photographer is essential during any photo session, but it’s especially important during boudoir shoots. The model has her own ideas about how she wants to be presented, and it’s the photographers responsibility to communicate with the subject about how to make that work. The process may require considerable back-and-forth discussion before a plan is in place.

The model should also state clearly the level of nudity she is comfortable with. While some clients have no problem baring it all, others prefer to cover certain areas tastefully or remain fully clothed. The photographer and subject should talk about different ways they can keep her feeling comfortable and confident during the session.

Walk a Fine Line

The difference between sensual and sexual is hard to define on paper, but it is easy to see which shots have “crossed the line,” when viewing the photos.

To ensure your pictures don’t cross the line into obscenity, make sure the pictures are “suggestive.”  Lingerie is an effective way to cover certain parts while enhancing an air of sensuality.

Angles and Light

Every Las Vegas boudoir photographer knows that camera angles and lighting can be their best friend or their most frustrating enemy. To make sure the light is on your side, our photographer will start out by taking a few location test shots before commencing the actual shoot. Every room is different, and reflective objects, windows, external light sources, and other factors can affect the final results. For instance, one side of the room may provide the most satisfactory light, and different angles may give the most flattering view of the subject.

Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned professional, for best results, the mood of the shoot should be playful, lighthearted, and fun. Experiment! Try new things! Have a good time! Try not to take things too seriously, and don’t worry about achieving perfection.

Remember, this is supposed to be enjoyable!

If you follow these few simple tips, you are sure to create high-quality, sensual photos that you can cherish forever!
